Sunset at the park

You can go to the park and play for a few hours in January when you live in Arizona!
I haven't taken a photo like this since high school! I love that I can only see the boys silhouettes!

Harsh Light

Yesterday around 4pm we were having a little late lunch. The sun in the winter comes Blaring in from our sliding glass doors. Its VERY HARSH. If we eat an early dinner we have to move our kitchen table so we aren't all blinded. I wanted to try to shoot with that harsh light. The first couple images I took were completely blown out on part and underexposed on the other part of the image. So, I messed around a little until I got these photos. Doesn't the color one look like he has a mirror in front of him to reflect the light? I want to shoot more on location, so I need to practice more with different light situations. This is fun!

Don't you wish?

Don't you wish you had 6 kids? Ok, not when the stomach flu hits, but on every other day! This was a fun photo shoot as the ages were so varied and the baby was melting me with those big brown eyes! I somehow mangaged to sqeeze them all in on my black backdrop!

2006 First Photo Shoot

Last weekend I had my first photoshoot of the new year! It feels good to be shooting again! Here's a little peek.

Nyomi Returns

Well, I am babysitting her. How can I not use such a pretty subject to experiment with? 50mm on program. I usually use manual, so I don't really know what the settings are here. I started with f1.4, ISO 100......or maybe I set the camera at that and put it on A.......anyway, this is what came out!

Paris

Isn't she BEAUTIFUL!!!! I get the opportunity to photograph her a few times a year and now she has a baby sister! I was getting bored of my usual photo shoot routine, so I took her outside. I do live in the desert, but you may not be able to tell because I had her in front of the one slightly big green plant in my yard! 50mm 1.8.....not sure what f stop, ISO 400, shaded front yard about 3 in the afternoon! I love how the background is swirled. They came out of my camera like that.

Low Light Bath

Okay, so I wanted to see what my new lens would do in really low light. Ummmm....I think I am learning to like this lens. These were taken in my bath at night with only the lights above the vanity as the light source. Those lights are across from the bath. Ohhhh I have such fun, cute boys! (who, by the way, also feel the need to move every second....as they should)

More Nyomi

I am just trying to figure out how to post more than one photo......so bare with me. I will get the hang of it soon enough. Here are some more of that cute little niece of mine.....who, by the way....does not want to stay still while she is free to run outside! I am trying to figure out how to get the look I want. I love the photos shot at f 1.4!

Little Nyomi

Here she is, my niece Nyomi, who will appear on this blog over and over I am certain. She is the closest I will ever get to having a little girl since she is blood related! She is adorable and sweet and has the most contagious smile and big brown eyes! Ohh, I love her. Fuji S2, 50mm 1.4
